Who are we? We are researchers from the Yorkshire and Humber Patient Safety Research Collaboration (Y&H PSRC) which is a partnership between Bradford Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Leeds. We are funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) to carry out research focussing on making healthcare safer.
What does the role involve? The role will include looking at research plans to provide suggestions/ ideas, raising community awareness of patient safety research, finding out what matters to communities and prioritising work for future patient safety research projects.
We are looking to recruit new Lay Leaders to join our existing community. You would usually attend meetings at least once per month that usually happen in the daytime (many online). We will offer additional opportunities for involvement, such as developing community engagement projects, developing and delivering training etc. All Lay Leaders are remunerated for their time and expenses according to NIHR guidance (
NIHR public contributor payment policy).
